David Pagliaccio, Ph.D. is a postdoctoral fellow in the Emotion & Development Branch at the National Institute of Mental Health. Dr. Pagliaccio completed his Ph.D. in Neuroscience at Washington University in St. Louis with Dr. Deanna Barch examining stress and depression effects on brain structure and function. His current work with Drs. Daniel Pine and Ellen Leibenluft examines the neural basis of pediatric anxiety and severe irritability.
Dr. Pagliaccio will be overseeing a randomized control trial of attention bias modification treatment for pediatric anxiety. This involves collaboration with the Game Lab at American University to construct an engaging 'gaming therapy'.
