Michael Preston is the Executive Director of CSNYC, the New York City Foundation for Computer Science Education. CSNYC supports CS education in the NYC public schools through grantmaking, program evaluation and research, building capacity in the school system, and engaging partners from K-12 and higher education, industry, and nonprofit sectors. CSNYC is the City of New York's partner in the 10-year Computer Science for All (CS4All) initiative to expand CS to every public school. Previously, Michael worked at the NYC Department of Education and Columbia University, where he received a Ph.D. in cognition and learning.
